How do I find out the current energy supplier to a property, if I'm not sure?

For electricity you can look this up online. For gas you'll need to call National Grid.

To find out the electric supplier:

Find the number for the Local Distribution Company here (opens another website). They will be able to confirm details of your electric supplier. You can also call MPAS on 0845 603 0618.

To find out the gas supplier:

To obtain details of the gas supplier please call National Grid on 0870 68 1524* (to our knowledge, calls will cost 7p per minute plus your phone company’s access charge. Please check this information on the National Grid website before calling as this is an independent service, not linked to Helpthemove).

You can also try Find My Supplier to locate the Gas supplier
