A Gas debt clearance (RTI) card will perform the same way as its posted counterpart. A Change of Tenancy (COT) card will reset the Downstream Reconciliation Rules (DRR) to zero and a COS card will clear will reset both the DRR and the total applied debt.

If you notice that the Gas meter has a ‘front displayed’ debt that needs removing (which is too big to clear in an RTI code) then a Decom card will need to be issues. This means that Ovo Energy don't provide the code, they will direct you to a shop to get a specific code added to the card to wipe the high debt or alternatively will attempt a 3 hour emergency appointment to get the debt cleared by an engineer coming out to the property.
