There are a few steps to getting a smart meter installed at a property/ number of properties. So we will explain briefly the process and how to go about getting SMART meters, and if you are interested or have further questions- feel free to drop us an email: support@helpthemove.co.uk
Step 1
You will be required to complete 2 forms. These are "SMICOP authorisation" and "demo forms". These take less than 5 minutes to complete but you will need to contact us to request the forms.
Step 2
Once the forms have been completed and returned back to us, we submit this to Ovo Energy. Some additional info they require are: current meter reads for the meter already in the property, access instructions to the property and car parking information.
Step 3
This step lies in Ovo Energy's hands where they will process the details. Once the property you want the SMART meters at are live on supply with Ovo Energy then they will add the property to their SMART meter appointment list. They will then confirm the appointment date with you and the meter should be fitted.
