Typically, it takes around 5-10 working days from the date the switch is requested for the new energy supplier to take over the supply. This allows for a 3 day cooling off period, in which our ring fence energy partner team process the registration of the property, meter readings are checked, final bills are issued and a welcome letter is sent out to the new tenants when a move out is added. 

On occasion, there will be reasons a switch attempt may take a bit longer or is, in fact, unsuccessful e.g. properties that can’t initially be found on the national database, those with unsupported meters or if a property supply is objected to or rejected by the current provider.
