It’s not uncommon for tenants to extend their tenancy agreement, whether it be by a few weeks or another year. As the Helpthemove system allows you to future date a Move Out, using the information you have on when that tenant is due to be moving out based on their current tenancy agreement, it is extremely important that you notify us of any changes to the tenancy duration as soon as you become aware.

If we do not receive notification of such changes, the notifications for council & water will be sent (if ticked) and the instruction to switch the energy supply to the property will be incorrectly processed (without the tenant’s approval). This can cause disruption, inconvenience and frustration for your tenants - especially if they were satisfied with their current energy supplier. This can also result in an Erroneous Transfer (which is not tolerated by Ofgem and may result in a processing cost or investigation). To notify us of any changes of circumstance, please contact the Helpthemove Support Team via online chat, at support@helpthemove.co.uk or call on 0161 399 0247.

To help alleviate this type of situation, a member of our support team will contact you within 2 weeks of the future dated tenancy end to ensure you are aware that the property has a scheduled move out on it and confirm, cancel or amend the move out in any way.
