A Meter Serial Number (MSN) is a unique identifier linked to the property's meter. You will find this on the front of your meter, engraved into the meter box or printed on a sticker attached to the meter box. It usually contains a combination of numbers and letters.

Provision of the MSN enables the new energy supplier to easily locate the correct property for energy switch. This is particularly useful for properties that have had address changes or are part of apartment blocks and where the national energy databases are not up to date e.g. still list plot numbers (or similar) instead of the apartment number / property name.

If the MSN is not provided, it may slow down the energy switch process and result in us requesting this from you at a later date. If it cannot be provided, this may mean our energy partner can't switch the property supply, therefore impacting your switch conversion rate and commissions potential.
